8월 22일 Boca Raton
1. 지금부터 여행은 “덤”으로 하는 것 같은 기분이다.
훨씬 자유롭고 여유롭다.
어제 마이애미까지 여행을 마쳤으므로 소기의 목적은 달성했기 대문이다.
2. 마지막 호스트인 Nancy Kersch 집에서는 같은 Boca Raton 지역에 이고,
의외로 얻은 호스트여서 그런지 더 그런 느낌이 든다.
오늘 낸시의 차로 이곳 유명 관광지를 돌아본다.
먼저 찾은 곳은 ‘Wakodahatchee Lands”다.
3. 새들의 천국이고 악어, 새우, 게, 이구아나, 토끼, 황새,
물고기들이 자연스럽게 어울려 사는 저들의 커뮤니티를 만들어 낸다.
4. The Wakodahatchee Wetlands is a park located in Delray Beach, Florida.
The park was created on 50 acres (20 ha) of unused utility land and transformed
into recreation wetlands open to the public with a three-quarter mile boardwalk
that crosses between open water pond areas, emergent marsh areas, shallow
shelves, and islands with shrubs and snags to foster nesting and roosting.
The boardwalk has interpretive signage as well as gazebos with benches
along the way. This site is part of the South section of the Great Florida Birding
Trail and offers many opportunities to observe birds in their natural habitats.
6. Plants within the park include pond apple, subal plum, live oak, pickerelweed,
duckweed, and giant bulrush.
이구아나는 수십마리 이상을 보았다.
7. Over 150 species of birds have been spotted inside the park, including
wood stork, pied-billed grebe, snowy egrets, and black-bellied whistling ducks.
8. 무더운 날씨지만 자연공원에 오니가 견딜 만하다.
낸시는 자그마한 체구에 당찬 여자다.
몇 달 전에 남편을 잃고 혼자 살고 있는데 마이애미 대학에서 침술을 전공한
덕분에 지금은 플로리다 전역에 침술 강의와 시술을 라면서 바쁜 시간을 보낸다.
9. The Turtle Hospital.
The park is also home to turtles, alligators, rabbits, frogs, and raccoons.
10. Deerfield Beach in South Florida.
Beach is number one hot spot for beach life.
It offers water-skiing, water-boarding, volleyball, surfing,
para-sailing, boating, fishing and kayaking.
11. There are beautiful water-front homes with direct ocean access.
12. Nancy와 함께 대서양 연안의 Deerfield Beach에 나왔다.
13. The thing that would make you miss the city much
is indeed this beach.
Man, I fuckin loved it lol this state can definitely make you feel like the big sea citizen.
이곳이 특색은 밀가루 같은 해수욕장 모래사장 곳곳에 단단한 화강암의 바위가
산재해 있어 다리 뻗고 앉아 마티니 한잔을 음미하며 푹 쉬기가 참 좋은 곳이다.
