Dear Byungwan and other Servas Korea friends,

Greetings, and I hope you are all well.
We have not been in communication for a while, and so I thought I should write to you to let you know the general plans and expectations for the next few months. I am copying Amir, Ann and Jonny, since each of them have a significant role in preparing for the conference, and each of them will be working with the Servas Korea representatives that you identify.
SI Exco has agreed that registration for SICOGA 2018, and also applications for funding for delegates, will be opened in January 2018. Amir has noted that the registration process is dependent on the funding process for those registrants who are looking for funding.
Before 2018, we will be preparing many things.
- An invitation letter and promotional material will be prepared
- The registration website will be created (including the process for replying to people who register, arranging to collect the funds etc). I am attaching the first letter that was sent related to SICOGA 2015, to give an idea of the many detailed decisions that will be needed.
- The funding process, criteria for funding, and the letters to be sent to the Member Groups and SI Committees will be drafted (this will include the conference budget, since that impacts the delegate funding)
- Amir and I are preparing a list of needed decisions and materials
One other idea has been raised, which I think you will like. The Youth Team (led by Susana Martinez) would like to arrange Youth activities and meetings, before, during or after the main conference. They would like you to identify someone to be the main contact to participate in this planning.
I will also note the proposed Servas Korea cycling event following the conference/
I will be away for 3 weeks, leaving on Monday Oct 16. When I return, SICOGA 2018 will be my priority. In the meantime, please feel free to contact anyone copied in this email to work on specific items.
